Stop-Motion WIP: VERY ROUGH CUT ;-;

Updated: Oct 29, 2021

As we were filming, we tried to use the assets that we had created the previous week by sticking them on Sarah's head using a special effects wax we got, but after a few minutes they would come loose and start falling off her face. So we decided to stop using those assets as we were filming and just filmed without them. For the most part we did try to shoot frame by frame, but we also did shot a few scenes filming normally. The overall process was more frustrating at the beginning trying to make the horns stay on Sarah's face, but once we got that out of the way, it was a bit easier to film. However, at the end of filming we had a bit of a crisis thinking about how we're going to incorporate the horns and eyes back into the animation and how we would cut everything together. When we cut everything together, we realized that we could, instead of filming frame by frame, cut frames out of a full length video to create a stop-motion like effect. Once we made the rough cut, we realized there were a few parts that we were missing, and we weren't sure how we would compensate for the missing pieces. After talking to Marianne, we had a better idea of how we would move forward from the rough cut. We had two options for incorporating the horns and eyes: compositing pictures of the horns and eyes or draw them instead. We also planned to refilm most of it, using our rough cut as a blueprint.
