Sarah and I really stuck to the idea of some sort of bodily transformation at the beginning of our brainstorming, and that idea evolved into this exploration of body modification in a spoopy but cute "get ready with me" style video. We were inspired by these haunting masks by sarokichi and artwork by Audrey Kawasaki because despite how eerie and unnatural these additions of facial features are, they still are beautiful.
We're planning on using paper clay and armatures for the assets we are creating which include horns (and the in-betweens of the horns growing), eyes (in different stages of open and closed), and a tail armature.
Here's a quick description of our idea shot-to-shot:
person searches "how to be evil uwu"
person examines their face in the mirror
front-on shot of person’s bare face
they poke and prod their face, unhappy with their appearance
as they stare into the mirror, they will their horns to grow from their head and horns pop up from their head
they aren’t happy with how long the horns are, so they pull the tips of the horns to make them longer
they’re still unhappy with their appearance
shot of knife laying next to person on counter/sink amongst regular products
person picks up knife and uses it to cut slits in their skin
slits open to reveal eyes
they look satisfied with their look, smile in the mirror and walk away from the mirror revealing a tail swishing behind them
